Wet strength agents have the following characteristics: 1. Wide application range of pH value: The wet strength agent, also known as polyamide polyoxychloropropane resin, is a water-soluble, cationic, thermosetting resin that does not contain formaldehyde polymers, is non-toxic and odorless, and can be manufactured under neutral, slightly alkaline, and acidic conditions. The pH value is widely applicable. 2. Adsorbability: The wet strength agent has a strong adsorption effect on negatively charged fillers, adhesives, and fine fibers, and has a significant retention and filtration effect in the papermaking process. 3. Retention rate: Different amounts of paper have a certain impact on the retention rate of wet strength agents. 4. The use of wet strength agents can increase the dry strength by about 15-20%. 5. Retention aid: The retention aid and filtration aid have obvious effects, and the first pass retention rate of fibers can be increased from about 70% to over 80%. The clarity of white water is significantly improved. 6. It has a synergistic effect on AKD and can reduce the dosage of AKD. 7. It has improved the folding resistance, surface strength, and lateral expansion of the paper, and also has a good effect on reducing wet paper web breakage during the operation of the paper machine.
